About 19,000 people reside in Waikiki (14,000 residential units), and on an average day hosts 70,000 visitors and 37,500 employees.

Economy
Waikiki generates half of the state's visitor industry expenditures, 13% ($5.2 billion) of the Gross State Product and 12% of all jobs.
